My husband Ruben and I have called Alaska home for more than forty years, since before we met each other and fell in love. We found another place we love, in the Mojave Desert, and are blessed to have found our Dream Home there, which we purchased shortly after his retirement in 2016, with a five-year plan to transition gradually from the arctic to the desert.
Our five-year plan suddenly shifted to an ASAP mode when our middle son, who lives with significant health issues, became gravely ill in September 2018 and we very nearly lost him.
Thankfully, he survived the ordeal. However, his overall condition has worsened since this latest health crisis, and his needs have increased also as a result of what he has recently been through. We have decided that the best thing for his health, and our family as a whole, is to speed the process of transitioning to our desert home in order to be better able to meet his needs and provide opportunities to him that are not currently available in our Alaska community. We hope to be on the road toward the Mojave Desert by Fall of 2019.
We have decades worth of accumulated items that we no longer need. We are planning to leave Alaska before the end of Summer 2019, so we will be having a continual online garage sale between now and then. Trust me, there's LOTS of stuff to get rid of before we go, covering probably ever area of life, so do check out the Time to Move page frequently as I will begin adding items in early December 2018 and continually update that page.
Also, if there is something specific you need, feel free to contact me and ask if I've got it!
I have personally benefited from sites like Craigslist in the past, but I have also been scammed. So, just know that everything you see in the Online Garage Sale section called Time to Move is personally owned and previously used by a member of my household. No gimmicks, no scams, just a family trying to move thousands of miles away in a few short months, without dragging everything we own with us.
Prices will be as marked. We will consider all reasonable offers on everything we are selling, but please be aware that we really dislike haggling, so our prices are set fairly, accordingly.
Items may be paid for securely, online, and we will ship most items if necessary (buyer pays shipping) or buyer may contact me to arrange a time and date to pick up purchased items.
May I have your permission to share with you? I would love to let you know what’s new on my website! I'll also tell you some of the things I do in my own life to keep me on track toward meeting my goals. Maybe a lesson I've learned the hard way can be an easy shortcut for you!
